Herbal Air Fresheners- Homemade Natural Cleaning Products #8

Sometimes we need a little boost of freshness here and there. Others, simply trying to cover the odor is not enough and what we really need is a disinfectant. Now we can have both, Naturally!

Base recipe:

1 Cup Water

2 Tablespoons Vinegar or Vodka (Optional- if disinfecting property is desired)

10-30 Drops Essential Oils (of your choice, have fun experimenting!)

Suggestions: Vanilla (regular food grade or essential oil), Ylang Ylang, Orange- Vanilla, Lavender, Bergamot, Mint, Citrus, etc....

Washing our fruits and vegetables is important to ensure we don't get sick from them. The store bought products can be expensive though so here is an alternative that will get the job done for a fraction of the cost.

Homemade Cleaning Products - Laundry Detergent

**Update** Now that I've used this detergent several times, I have determined that it is not quite adequate for heavily soiled loads. The stain remover (I have a video posted showing how to make your own!) definitely helps, however, I would recommend this more for towels, rags, etc. I am currently working on a formula for a powder detergent that will be more effective for everyday use!
