I tried cleaning honey out of the carpet 3 times with my Bissell Steam Vac. After an ant invasion I realized there was still some honey deep in the carpet and possibly through the backing. I treated the area with borax and now it's finally clean. No more dirt sticking to the area at all. Now on to the ants....

Here is a great way to get reds out of a carpet without using an iron. Always pretest an area of carpet before starting any procedure of course. An iron can burn a carpet but the Black and Decker Wall paper steamer usually will not. We love them. It makes carpet cleaning much easier. Carpet cleaning is hard enough in itself last thing you need is an iron mark in their carpet. They will never call you back for carpet cleaning for sure.
